Hello, my name is Greg Appelbaum, welcome to my web page. I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco, CA. This web site contains links to my research topics, the classes I teach, some of my recreational activities, and of course, photos.

My work at Smith-Kettlewell concentrates on the identification of brain mechanisms involved in visual perception, memory, and attention. For a look at some of the work I am currently involved in, as well as other vision and neuroscience related resources, click on the research link. I am also currently teaching classes at San Francisco State University. If you are a student or are interested in the classes I have taught, follow the Teaching link.

While my research and teaching responsibilities keep me quite busy, do I still manage to get out and see a little of the world. For a look at some recent adventures and to find those pictures I always said I'd make available, follow the Photos Pages link (contact me for a password if you don't have one). Finally, if you can't locate me anywhere else, check out the Play section, I may very well be off pursuing one of my many extra-cirrucular interests (hint: check the snow and surf conditions).
