The SK Brain Imaging Center
The Smith Kettlewell Brain Imaging Center exists to facilitate and promote the use of magnetic resonance imaging, EEG and MEG in vision research at SKERI. Our goal is to integrate novel imaging techniques including MRI, fMRI, and EEG to study brain function at high temporal and spatial resolution. ::Magnetic Resonance ImagingWe are established users of the 3T systems at the University of California, San Francisco and at the Stanford Lucas Center in Palo Alto. These systems are available for both anatomical and functional imaging studies. ::EEGAn on-site high-density EEG system with custom display and acquisition hardware enables us to perform electrical mapping of brain activity with millisecond resolution. ::MEG We use the 278 channel CTF MEG system at the UCSF Parnassus campus. This is one of the most advanced MEG systems in the world. |
