strange eyes

Eye Position
Flounder
Conch
Starfish
Flounders have both eyes on one side of their head.

Conches have eyes at the end of their tentacles.

Starfish have an eye on the tip of each leg. A starfish with five legs has five eyes.
Bittern
hammerhead
arrowhead crab
The bittern has eyes set on the underside of its head. It must tilt its head all the way up to see straight ahead. Since it nests in marshes, it needs to survey the landscape below its head. The hammerhead has striking eyes set far apart on the end of large lobes on the head. The shark is not able to see straight ahead.

The arrowhead crab's eyes are set low down on its head, underneath its pointy head, which allow it good side and frontal vision.
