At the 15th International Conference on Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation (VISION 2025 Florence), held 8–12 September 2025 in Florence, Italy:

  • James Coughlan, Ph.D. gave the talk “Point and listen: making 3D maps and models accessible with natural interactions.”
  • Brandon Biggs, Ph.D. presented “Audiom: an auditory map interface for blind and low vision travelers.”
  • Jade Guenot, Ph.D. gave a talk titled “Motion parallax enhances depth perception in macular degeneration” and “Navigating in a realistic VR environment with central field loss: the role of binocular and stereo scotomas.”
  • Preeti Verghese, Ph.D. is serving as a member of the International Scientific Committee and presented a talk, “Implications of scotoma overlap in the two eyes in macular degeneration.”
  • Donald C. Fletcher, MD delivered a keynote lecture titled “Clinical pearls for a successful low vision rehabilitation.”
