Location: The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, 2318 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94115

The goal of this event is to honor and remember Dr. Val Morash and her research. The symposium focused on aspects of haptics that Val was researching. These aspects include: Fundamentals in Haptic Perception, Haptic Applications to Education for Individuals with Visual Impairments, and Haptic Applications to Assistive Technology for Individuals with Visual Impairments. The aim of this symposium was also to spur greater interest in these aspects of haptics in the research community.
