Postdoctoral Researcher
MSc Audiology; PhD Audiology – University of Mysore
I am a postdoctoral researcher in audiology with a primary focus on auditory perception and the functional integration of the auditory and vestibular systems. My research interests include auditory perception, vestibular function, psychoacoustics, and neuroplasticity, with an emphasis on understanding how sensory systems respond and adapt to environmental stressors.
I am currently working in Dr. Natela Shanidze’s laboratory, where my research focuses specifically on the effects of noise exposure on the audio-vestibular system. My work examines how acute and chronic noise exposure influences vestibular function and auditory–vestibular interactions, with the goal of elucidating mechanisms underlying sensory dysfunction and maladaptation. This research has implications for improving risk assessment, early identification, and preventive strategies for noise-induced auditory and vestibular impairments.
