Abstract

Bay Area VisionWalk 2026 Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr, San Francisco, CA 94118 (Golden Gate Park)

The Bay Area VisionWalk is an annual fundraising event organized by the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB), whose mission is to drive research toward preventions, treatments, and cures for people affected by blinding diseases — including age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease, Leber congenital amaurosis, and more. The walk is a 5K-style fundraiser with all proceeds going directly to FFB’s mission. Since launching in 2007, the Bay Area VisionWalk has raised over $2.6 million and brought together Bay Area residents year after year in community.

Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute is walking as a team. We’ll have a booth at the event where you can learn about our research and programs, and SKERI staff will be available to walk alongside anyone who’d like a companion on the route. You’re welcome to come visit the booth, join the walk, or simply come out and take in the event — drop in anytime between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
