Event Date

Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 – 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Abstract

Dr. Joshua Miele will discuss usability, design, and accessibility, taking us on a quick tour of several different development patterns found in the access-technology world. The technologies needed by blind and visually impaired people are designed in different ways by different groups for different needs and often have long-lasting and fascinating social impacts.

He will also discuss the development of wayfinding tools such as GPS, mobile devices, tactile displays, virtual and augmented reality, and more.
