Interested in Volunteering?

At The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, we offer a wide variety of projects that frequently welcome interns and other dedicated volunteers. If you have a passion for making a difference and would like to contribute your time and expertise to our cause, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to us by emailing volunteer@ski.org, and providing a brief description of your interests and skills. By volunteering with us, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in areas such as eye movement, visual perception and cognition, echolocation, and the development of innovative applications. Past interns have contributed to the development of apps such as YouDescribe and Tactile Graphics Helper. Your valuable contributions will directly impact the lives of individuals with vision-related challenges.

In addition to our volunteer opportunities, we also invite individuals to participate as research participants in our studies. As a participant, you can actively contribute to advancing our understanding of vision and its intricate workings. To explore the exciting prospect of being part of our studies, we invite you to visit our dedicated "Participate in a Study" page. There, you can learn more about our ongoing projects, find out if you are eligible to participate, and get in touch with us to express your interest. By joining our research endeavors, you become an integral part of our mission to drive scientific discovery and improve the lives of countless individuals. Together, let's make a lasting impact on vision research and beyond.
